Aysha completed her undergraduate masters in Biochemistry at the University of Birmingham. She then continued her studies by undertaking the Midlands Integrative Biosciences Training Partnership (MIBTP) Doctorate scheme. Her research focused on using modified oligonucleotides for the control and detection of proteins, small molecules and DNA. She also worked for Science Capital, an event management company, helping to organise science events during my PhD. Her scientific interests lie in diagnostics and she also really enjoys public engagement. Her current role is within the THT Group working on biological model development and system evaluation of the devices going into clinical trials. Her absolute favourite things to do outside of work are to spend time with people, cook and eat food!
